Daenerys and Drogon by nell-fallcard

So today I went looking for a famous, named dragon, and I found this amazing fanart of Dany and Drogon from George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire by deviantartist nell-fallcard.  I kinda want to scream like Drogon right about now too, so it’s fitting.

I’ve been obsessing over names the last few days, and while on the one hand I know it doesn’t really matter, on the other, I’m so OCD that not having the names and ages and parentage of everyone figured out in the Small Wings band of my protagonists is blocking me from moving forward with writing the chapter.  So I’m painstakingly charting it out.  Sigh.

I don’t want to repeat names, and for story purposes the ages have to be right, and it’s directly tied to an event I’m still working on in the flashback to the bonfire ritual I started a few weeks ago, that I now think I want to weave directly into the next chapter. To top it off, everyone actually has TWO names, and out of the 35-ish people in the band, I have 13 missing even a first name.

It’s frustrating, but necessary.  So I better get back to it.  I have one more picture of Drogon — my own little Funko POP! figure of him, on our games bookcase.

It’s just the top shelf in this picture, but maybe sometime I’ll  post a photo capturing all of the awesomeness.  🙂  There’s even an extra dragon statue in it, yay!  I’ve blocked out the faces of my parents (from their trip to London, getting that pic at King’s Cross just for me, as they have no idea about HP), and my husband, since none of them chose to make a blog for the world to see.  Anyway, stay creative everyone, goodnight!
